“SUSTAINABLE WMU” is a multimedia news project by students in the Journalism 4100: Specialized Reporting/Environmental Reporting Spring 2015 class at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Mich. This news project features in-depth coverage of campus initiatives and projects, with a focus on undergraduate and graduate student-led research projects at WMU promoting a sustainable lifestyle.
Undergraduate student journalists visited campus research labs, facilities, buildings and project sites as well as local farms and businesses to interview students, faculty, staff and experts and report on sustainable initiatives and practices at WMU. This project features stories, photos, videos and slideshows to relay the experiences of students, faculty and staff who strive to make WMU a more sustainable campus. |
